Vince smith

Interim pastor

Reverend Smith received a B.G.S. in Social Science at the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2011, then later continued his education and received a Masters of Theological Studies at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2018. From 2007 to 2015 he served at the North Monroe Baptist Church in a variety of positions, and soon after he became the Interim BCM Director at Louisiana College in Pineville.  He also served as the Dean of Students at Lousiana College from August 2016 to May 2020, while simultaneously serving as the lead pastor of The Circle Church in Alexandria. Reverend Smith offers a wide variety of skills not only for ministry, but also in the business and academic realm.

Music director

Aaron has served as the Director of Music at the First Presbyterian Church of Alexandria since 2014 where he directs the Sanctuary Choir and regularly collaborates with other church and community choirs in Central Louisiana. He is currently pursuing the Master of Music degree in vocal performance from Northwestern State University. During his time at NSU, he has served as a Teaching Assistant – conducting the Northwestern Lyrica, Assistant Director of Opera Theater, teaching voice lessons and assisting in Music Theory. 

Carolyn sterne

Carolyn Sterne is retired from the Louisiana Baptist Convention, after working there for 41 years. She served as Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director, working closely with the Convention Committees and Executive Board. She came to work for First Presbyterian Church, Alexandria, in June, 2012. She has two grown sons, Michael and Bobby, and one granddaughter, Emma.
